Soundpad
One myinstants sound = one pump.fun coin. The coin's logo is drawn from its own mp3, its creator fees are split between the person who launched it and the pad, and every buy plays the sound.
Launch a sound
- Search the myinstants catalog in Load sample and pick a sound. It plays, and its logo draws itself from the waveform.
- The name is the sound's title (up to 32 bytes, capitals). The ticker is derived from it and you can edit it: A-Z and 0-9, up to 10.
- Pick your first buy (0 to 2 SOL) and press Launch.
- Soundpad fetches the mp3 itself, hashes it, pins the mp3 and the logo, and checks the launch: the slug's own file, the pins it made, the name, the stop-list, and that the logo is the one rendered from the mp3. Only then does it co-sign.
- You sign last. One transaction creates the coin on pump.fun, pays the 0.02 SOL launch fee to the pad and makes your first buy.
A sound that already has a coin shows Claimed → trade. The same mp3 file under another link is refused too (one file, one coin).
Worked example
You launch "VINE BOOM SOUND" as $VINEBOOM with a 0.5 SOL first buy. You pay: the launch fee 0.02 SOL to the pad treasury, 0.5 SOL into the pump.fun curve (plus pump's own trading fee), and the rent of the new accounts (a few thousandths of a SOL). Later the coin's creator fees reach 0.1 SOL: collect books 50% of it (0.05 SOL) to you and pays 50% to the pad; you claim yours from Mine.
The logo
One renderer, soundlogo.mjs, runs in the browser, the launch check and the keeper. It decodes the mp3 with mpg123 (WebAssembly), trims silence, takes the RMS envelope in 32 columns and draws a 32×32 pixel picture, upscaled to 1000 px without smoothing. The first byte of sha256(mp3) picks one of 8 palettes (Game Boy, PICO-8, CGA, NES, C64, ZX Spectrum, Mac Classic, Virtual Boy), the second picks one of 4 forms (bars, mirror, spectrum, ring). Same bytes, same PNG, everywhere. Verify any logo.
The coin's description on pump.fun carries sound hash: <sha256> and the audio's IPFS address; the audio CID and the mp3 hash are also stored on chain in the coin's Sound account, so the sound outlives myinstants.

The coin's pump creator is a program address (the Fees PDA), so nobody but the program can collect its creator fees. Collect is open to anyone (the keeper runs it every few seconds, each coin page has the button); it moves the fees in and splits them. Your share waits for you in the Fees PDA; Claim everything in Mine pays it out.

Verify on chain
- Find the coin's Sound account at
["sound", sha256(slug)]of the program: it holds the mp3 sha256, the audio CID and the mint. - Download
ipfs://<audio CID>and hash it: sha256 must equal the stored mp3 hash. - Render the logo from those bytes (/verify does it in your browser) and compare it with the image in the coin's metadata.
- Check the mint's pump creator: it is the Fees PDA

Risks and trust points
- The attestor (Soundpad's checker) can refuse a launch, or, if its key leaked, approve a wrong mp3 for a slug. It holds no SOL and only signs. The admin can rotate it.
- First come, first served: the first attested launch of a slug owns it forever. Two different uploads of the same audio are two files and can both have coins.
- myinstants can change or remove a page. Launched sounds play from IPFS (the audio CID on chain).
- pump.fun / PumpSwap set the trading and creator fee rates and could change them.
- Memecoins are volatile. A hidden sound still trades everywhere else.
FAQ
Can I pick my own logo?
No. The logo is the sound. That is what makes the collection one set and every logo checkable.
Why can't some sounds launch?
Their link has characters the chain id cannot store (non-Latin slugs), they are on the stop-list, or no copy of the mp3 could be fetched. Pick another upload of the same sound.
Why only 36 pads?
1-0, Q-P, A-L and Z-M are 36 keys. The top 36 by market cap sit on the sampler; every coin has its own page and plays in Live.
What is Live?
Arm it (Space) and every buy of any coin plays its sound, louder when bigger; a sell plays it pitched down. The third knob skips trades below a size.
Preview build
This preview runs on a local Solana validator with real pump.fun programs. IPFS pins are computed locally (the same CIDs a real pin gives), a small trade simulator keeps Live busy, and the myinstants catalog is read through Jina Reader with mp3s from the Internet Archive.
